Media server
The media server (freedome-mediaserver, layer L3) controls a dome installation: venues and displays, calibration,
content, shows and playback, devices (projector agents, PJLink, Art-Net / sACN), time sync and the event bus. It
drives the visual engine (freedome-engined) over gRPC and never touches pixels itself. Every client — Manager,
Sphere, the SDKs, show controllers — talks to it through one contract (freedome_contract, API v1).
- Install — deb / rpm, Docker, systemd, first admin key
- Configuration —
/etc/freedome/mediaserver.toml, reload, secrets - API — REST, GraphQL, WebSocket, socket.io, gRPC, events
- OSC — native address space, subscriptions, legacy aliases
- Scenarios — plugin API 1.0 and the built-in scenarios
- Gateways — compatibility with third-party show systems (phase 5)
- Legacy profile and migration
- Privacy
- Development — building, tests, CI, packaging
